The Zephyr . 20.
A sad kiss, with tears freshly shed, but a real kiss. And he was hungry for it. Like a thirsty man, a starving man. He was thirsty, he was hungry, and she was in his grasp then, but could be gone in a flash. That mad the kiss even more hungry, and his hands gripped her tightly by the shoulders. And when the kiss ended, he moved his arms around her tightly. Looking over her shoulders, he saw darkness had fallen. He thought, "Today's going to end, it's tonight already. What if there is no 'tomorrow'?"
When they moved, it was her that moved. "Ben, let's enjoy today, whats left of it. What do you want to do?"
Ben's first thought was "Plan tomorrow", but he knew better than to say that now. "Well," he stalled, trying to think, "a good dinner and then we will see?" He winked at her to make her laugh, and was rewarded with a twinkle in her eyes and a laugh that sounded real.
He stood, held out his hand to her, "And no more coffee tonight!"
She laughed, took his hand, grabbed her purse without turning away, slid off the bench and stood directly in front of him. "No more coffee tonight" she agreed.
"Night, folks." said the Snack area attendant, but they didn't hear him as they climbed the stairs.
